​STING 'EM STUDIOS

The Journalism class produces The Hive, the student newspaper for HHS, which is published in The Huntsville Item every Wednesday. The students publish both print and online versions of the publication. Journalism students are responsible for every element of the paper—from the stories, to the ads, to the photos and the design.  Over the course of the school year, students will learn a variety of styles of journalistic writing, as well as gain exposure to all facets of a journalistic career. The course is deadline driven and reflects the realities of the field of journalism. Students can anticipate a fast-paced, high-energy environment, in which students lead, teach and coach one another.  This course will push students to try new things and experience and consume the media in a variety of ways. For the first time this year, we will be producing a newspaper, infographics, web and video content—all during this class!
